The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) has released model question papers for the second PUC examination in 2024. The board has made the examination easier for students by reducing the number of questions and increasing the number of one-mark questions.
Say for example, the model question paper for Kannada has 10 one-mark questions for 10 marks, 5 one-mark questions for 5 marks, and 5 one-mark questions for 5 marks. There are 12 two-mark questions, 4 three-mark questions, and 6 four-mark questions. Students have to answer a total of 36 questions.

The board has also fixed 20 internal marks. 10 marks are for the short test and midterm examination, and the remaining 10 marks are for the writing component of projects and assignments at the college level. 5 marks are for presentation, 3 for interview, and 2 for project and assignment.
The board has also made the question paper more student-friendly by using simple language and avoiding jargon.
